Amazing news. Curious as to why Lou didnt put more of 20-21 salary as Signing Bonus like our fiends in Toronto prefer.

Either way, time for LL to earn his keep by moving a few players (any 2 of Boychuk/ Leddy/Ladd & Clutter /Hickey/Komorov). Moving any combo of the first 3 will cost some draft picks for sure.

Say goodbye to Brassard and probably Matt Martin-unless Martin signs for real cheap. Khunackle is fairly cheap so I would expect they keep him if Martin is not signed. Trade DalColles RFA rights for a bag of pucks & move on.

If Ladd cant be moved they can save a little on the cap ($1-1.5Mil) by assigning him to the AHL. Translation: Let’s hope Ladd has a MONSTER playoff series and makes himself attractive to other teams.

All in all, we’re in a pinch not a crunch. We need just a little luck in finding a dance partner and things should be ok.

Sorokin got a sweet entry into the NHL. Burns his ELC without ever playing a game. Then 1 year of playing at a low salary gets him to RFA status and a big arb payoff (assuming he does well).
